Fountain cosmetics review

Fountain cosmetics is an Aussie owned cosmetics brand that is designed using the latest, break-through ingredients with the most recent technologies. Fountain creates a unique range of products that combine essential nutrients with the latest active cosmetic advancements to achieve and maintain skin health.

I was sent some samples to try and I really enjoyed them. I don’t know about you but during the week (particularly in winter) spending time cleansing my face is one of the last things I feel like doing even thought I should.

I saved my little sample saches of Fountain products to try on the weekend when I had more time and could crank the heater. Let me tell you, they smell amazing. That is what hit me first! It was so relaxing to slowly cleanse my face with such a beautifully creamy product that smelt like heaven. I almost fell asleep while I was moisturising it smelt so nice and I was so relaxed to be honest.

These are the products I tried and a little blurb about each as provided by Fountain:

Cleansing Balm

A soothing, refreshing balm that thoroughly cleanses your skin, leaving it with a smoother, softer and revitalised texture. Featuring a mix of healing anti-inflammatories, protective anti-oxidants and rejuvenating Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Cleansing Balm removes impurities and treats your skin without stripping away natural protective oils. Contains no artificial fragrance or colour.

DIRECTIONS: Massage gently over dry face and neck. Add a little warm water and continue to massage with light circular movements. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, before applying toner and moisture.

Skin Exfoliant

A non-abbrasive, leave-on exfoliant designed to give the skin a fresh, healthy look, while it evens the texture, tone and colour. Skin Exfoliant contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids – both Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid – which work on removing and preventing the build-up of dead skin cells minimising fine lines, discolouration and dry spots. Contains no artificial fragrance or colour.

DIRECTIONS: Apply a thin layer of Skin Exfoliant to cleansed skin avoiding delicate areas such as eyes, nostrils and lips. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Use once to twice a week. Discontinue using this product if a reaction occurs.

Think B Serum

DIRECTIONS: Can be used both during the day and overnight. Massage a small amount into cleansed skin (face and neck). Allow for the product to absorb before following with moisturiser.

Think C Serum

A concentrated gel-based serum containing L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), an ingredient well-known for its anti-oxidant, moisturising, anti-inflammatory and skin-shielding properties.

Think C Serum helps to restore skin hydration and elasticity, assists in fading age spots, repairs dry and damaged skin and should be used as a safe-guard against the damaging effects of environmental free radicals such as sun exposure, air pollution, smoke and pesticides.

I asked the lovely Foundation girls the best way to use these products in my regime and they said:

Use the Cleansing Balm followed by either Think B Serum or Think C Serum and wait for 20 secs for the serum to absorb followed by any moisturizer. The Cleansing Balm should be sufficient for 2 uses. Then I would use the Skin Exfoliant followed by a Serum and Moisturiser the next day.

So thats what I did. I really like to know which order to use products in. It helps. Especially with the fancy products like the serum. I’d never used a serum before. It’s just like a really deep moisturiser.

I really enjoyed the cleansing balm and the Think B and C serum the most. They are very concentrated so you don’t need a lot of them.
